BINI’s Sheena makes acting debut in ‘MMK’ episode based on her life story

P-pop girl group BINI’s Sheena is set to make her acting debut in “Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK),” starring in an episode that will reenact her own life story.

ABS-CBN News first announced the return of the well-known drama series with Charo Santos-Concio once again serving as host. The drama anthology also features a fresh new format as a limited series on iWantTFC featuring 13 episodes over 13 weeks, with each installment presenting a special director’s cut.

Adding to viewers’ excitement was the announcement that “MMK’s” first two episodes would delve on the inspiring journeys of Sofronio Vasquez III — the first-ever Filipino and Asian champion of “The Voice USA” Season 26 — and a member of BINI, later revealed to be Sheena.

On BINI’s official Instagram page, behind-the-scenes photos confirmed Sheena’s starring role alongside comebacking actress Angelica Panganiban, veteran actors Bembol Roco, Malou de Guzman, plus Aljon Mendoza, in an upcoming episode, set to air this coming weekend.

“MMK” kicked off last weekend with its pilot episode “Apoy,” which told Sofronio’s journey to international stardom, portrayed by Elijah Canlas.

New episodes of “MMK” stream exclusively 48 hours in advance on iWantTFC and air every Saturday on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live and A2Z.
