MANILA, Philippines — Veteran comedian Vic Sotto clarified that he has no grudges with GMA-7 after he and his noontime show "Eat Bulaga" transferred to TV5.

In his interview with Toni Gonzaga, Vic said they are still friends with the people of GMA Network.

“It was more of TVJ and TAPE Inc. We were happy with GMA. Until now, wala naman kaming masamang tinapay with GMA people. We are still friends,” Vic said.

“Ang naging problema lang namin is with TAPE,” he added.

"Eat Bulaga" aired on GMA-7 from January 1995 to January this year. It is now being broadcast on TV-5. Its old timeslot is now being occupied by its long-time rival, "It's Showtime."

Vic also recalled how their show left the network earlier this year after more than two decades of "Eat Bulaga" airing on GMA-7.

“I mean, just imagine 44 years of doing it, making money for them, and enriching them. Tapos all of a sudden, dahil nagkaka-edad na daw kami, aalisin na daw kami,” he said.

“'Eat Bulaga' ‘yan, kami ‘yun. Si Joey nag-imbento nu'ng title tapos we really worked hard for it.

“Like ‘yung pinagku-kwentuhan natin kanina. Hindi kami sumesweldo, tinanggap namin lahat ‘yun kasi enjoy kami sa show.

“We’re like one big family here. Tapos bigla-bigla na lang, the boss, we were called for a general meeting, announcing that Tito, Vic, and Joey, 'thank you, nice working with you.' Sakit. Sakit non,” the host said.
