A lunar-powered creature like me is so into Halloween. May ghosts of lovers past not haunt us. Since All Souls’ Day is just around the corner, I asked celebs, “If you could talk to anyone famous who passed away, who would you choose, and what do you want to ask him or her?”

Pour moi, I pick my forever idol, Michael Jackson. I will ask him to shed light on the conspiracy theory that he is still alive, albeit incognito.

Happy Halloween to all. Don’t brew what I would not brew.

Here’s my celeb forum:

Vilma Santos: “Mother Teresa. I would ask her where she got her strength and motivation to genuinely serve the poor. Up to her last breath, she fulfilled her advocacy. She was the epitome of selflessness. She really walked the talk.”

Eugene Doningo: “Direk Wenn Deramas. I particularly remember him these past months because I just finished shooting for Vice Ganda’s MMFF (Metro Manila Film Festival) movie, ‘And the Breadwinner is…’

“Vice and I worked with direk Wenn and we both share loving memories of him. When he was alive, we talked kahit ‘di na kami magkasama sa project. Siguro wala naman akong tatanungin na. What I would want more is to tell him my love story kasi pinagdasal niya ito.”

John Estrada: “Marlon Brando. I will ask him, ‘Did you ever feel stuck as a ‘tough guy’ actor, and how did you try to break free from that image?’ And ‘Are there any regrets or unfinished projects you wish you had pursued?’”

John Arcilla: “I can’t think of only one, but six of them. Micheangelo (89) and Leonardo Da Vinci (67), Beethoven (57) and Mozart (37), William Shakespeare (52) and Konstantin Stanislavski (75). I want to thank them and tell them how great they were and how prolific the influence of their soul and their creations has become.

“I wish to kiss their hands and absorb their energy, their motivations and discipline. I wish to discover their inspirations and how they were able to transform them into what they create.

“Were their creations the result of how they deal with the ironies of life or were they detached from it? Were they experiential or innate? I will ask their permission to allow me to hang out with them and observe how they create and execute their arts. I wish I (could) also talk to Plato.”

Andrea Torres: “Jaclyn Jose. She was like a mom to me and would make her presence and love felt both in my professional and personal life. First, I’d ask her what heaven is like and next, I’d ask her for advice.

“I miss getting her feedback on things. She’s very straightforward which I appreciated. Our talks were always filled with wisdom, tips and laughs. I miss having those honest conversations with Nay Jane.”

Ogie Alcasid: “Mother Teresa. I will ask her, ‘How does it feel to be with the Lord Jesus?’”
