Max Collins reacts to always dying in TV shows
MANILA, Philippines — Max Collins is currently having a blast as Venus on the Marian Rivera comeback fantasy family drama"My Guardian Alien," and Marian just showed how fun they are on the set of their show when she posted a photo of her and Max goofing on set while taking a break from taping.
On Marian's Facebook post last Tuesday, the box-office star posted their photo lying on a sidewalk with traces of blood on their faces.
"Max ano to ? Exsena o Pictorial? Hahahaha. always fun working with you," Marian wrote on the caption.
Philstar.com caught Max as one of the celebrity guests who graced the Loewe store last Wednesday in Greenbelt 3. The Spanish luxury house presented the summer 2024 collection of Paula's Ibiza on display on its store.
"Nag-bonding kami ni Marian sa sahig, sa floor. Sa dirt actually. During our scenes naman, we tape so far away. Ang init so all we can do is that we just make fun of the situation. So, like sa picture na pinost niya, duguan pero nagpa-cute pa rin kami. That's just part of our taping, that's what's fun in our taping... We always find ways to be happy and to spread good vibes," said Max.
She and Marian are no strangers to each other as they have already worked with each other on past GMA-7 dramas. They played sisters in the 2016 fantasy show "Encantadia."
"I love working with Marian. It's so easy. She's so fun. Light lang kasi 'yung show namin e. So, parang we don't really have mabigat na scenes. All of our scenes have an element of comedy to them because kids watch our show. It's a family drama. So that's been the best part about it. Magaan lang 'yung taping namin," she shared.
With news that "Encantadia" will have its story continued in the upcoming show titled "Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre," there are questions if Max will reprise her role, Amihan.
"To be honest, I have no idea kasi I died, 'di ba? First episode pa lang," she quipped.
She played Amihan I in the 2016 show. She was mistakenly killed by her sister Minea, played by Marian, after being tricked by black magic.
Max's recent guest roles saw her characters die. Like her "Encantadia" stint, her appearance as Rozalia in GMA-7's 2023 adaptation of the beloved 1970s anime "Voltes V: Legacy" also resulted in her character getting killed.
"Yes, palagi nga akong namamatay. I don't know. So baka naman, I'll be able to guest [in Encantadia] and I'd probably die again, too. So I really don't know," she said.
Since the show is a fantasy one with many characters thought to have been killed are ending up being revived one way or another, Max's character or any other character can be alive in the upcoming fantasy show.
