MANILA, Philippines — BINI’s fans, also known as Blooms, are in for a treat as the P-pop girl group has announced their first solo concert, titled “BINIverse,” to be held on June 28 at the New Frontier Theater.

The fans can avail themselves of tickets priced at P747 for Balcony, P1,067 for Loge, P2,668 for Orchestra, P3,733 for VIP, and P5,336 for VVIP via Ticketnet outlets or ticketnet.com.ph starting April 2, 3 p.m.

The forthcoming music event is presented by Star Music, Star Magic and ABS-CBN.

The members — Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna, and Sheena — made the announcement during the media launch of their newest extended play (EP) Talaarawan last March 8. It also coincided with the celebration of the International Women’s Day as part of their advocacy on women empowerment.

The diary-inspired EP featured the tracks Salamin, Salamin, Ang Huling Cha Cha, Na Na Nandito Lang, Diyan Ka Lang, and their recent hits Karera and Pantropiko.

“Talaarawan means diary in English. In a diary, you write down your feelings, what happens during your day, and then the different emotions you have on that day,” expressed Sheena.

“You feel you have to write (everything) down. That diary becomes very precious to you. You become best friends as time goes by.”

She said the same goes for their EP. It’s written like a diary, baring different types of emotions through its six songs.

“Like what the girls have said, if you feel something, yun yung songs na sasagot sayo and will help you. And if a diary is your best friend, we are our listeners’ best friend.”

The message that they want to convey through their EP is that they want their supporters, especially the female Blooms, to know their value and worth regardless of the standards and expectations set by people around them.

“Just continue what you are doing and continue to feel good (about yourself),” said Jhoanna. “As you strive for excellence, don’t forget to celebrate your achievements along the way.

“And just enjoy your youth. Kasi masaya siya. Kung pwede lang hindi kami tumanda agad ‘di ba?”

Following the launch of their EP, as per media release, BINI became the Filipino pop group with the biggest audience on Spotify to date with their 1.4 million monthly listeners on the music streaming platform.

The key track Salamin, Salamin produced one million streams and landed in the Top 200 of Spotify Philippines Daily Songs Chart. It’s also featured on Radar Philippines and OPM Rising, while the EP earned more than 14 million streams in less than two weeks.

Pantropiko, on the other hand, reached No. 23 on Spotify Philippines Daily Songs Chart and No. 32 on Spotify Global Viral Chart with 9.8 million streams. BINI also climbed to No. 34 on Spotify Philippines Daily Top Artists, becoming the highest-charting pop group.

Known for their bubblegum-pop brand of music, the group also showed interest in exploring other genres such as R&B, as well as the so-called girl crush concept, which has been defined as songs and performances that express femininity in strong and empowering ways.

“Because we haven’t tried it yet and I feel that Blooms are excited na umabot kami sa ganitong point na girl crush na,” uttered Gwen.

Stacey, on the other hand, named Denise Julia, Arthur Nery and mrld, as among the artists they want to collaborate with in the future.

Moreover, the members of BINI are simply grateful for their thriving career in the music industry but they still want to achieve more.

As Mikha elaborated, “We are very grateful right now because as what Shee said before, I remember her saying mas sanay po kaming hindi nagbo-boom yung songs po namin kesa nag-boom (laughs).

“We are very surprised (at the rate things are going) right now, at the same time, we are so grateful. That’s why we always remind ourselves to make sure to keep our feet on the ground and that we don’t become swell- headed… Also we have so much to do pa like we always (say) malayo na, pero malayo pa.”

Jhoanna added, “We are not yet on that level na kuntento kami and it’s a good thing because we are hungry for growth.”

Aiah echoed, “We have just started and there’s still so much more we can do and achieve pa.”

Maloi, for her part, said that there are plenty of things and milestones that they want to experience, not to mention more places to visit. She said they also look forward to meeting more Blooms in the future.

On the other hand, Aiah hoped that they would get to work with more artists.

Jhoanna said, “They say yung limitations lang natin yung imagination natin. So hangga’t nai-imagine yung kayang gawin, (we can do it).”
