Beauty Gonzalez is one of the actresses enjoying the most screen time nowadays. Her daily Kapuso afternoon drama, Stolen Life, with Gabby Concepcion and Carla Abellana has consistently landed among the overall Top 5 Philippine programs this February, as per AGB Nielsen Phils. NUTAM People in TV Homes ratings.

She also stars as Gloria, the feisty police wife of Sen. Bong Revilla's police officer character Tolome in Season 2 of the action-comedy series “Walang Matigas na Pulis sa Matinik na Misis,” airing Sunday nights on GMA.

She’s also topbilling an upcoming romance-drama under ALV Films, titled “After All,” which revives her “love team” Kelty with Kelvin Miranda. They were first paired in Loving Ms. Bridgette, which was part of GMA 7’s romance anthology series, Stories from the Heart, directed by Adolfo Alix Jr. who also helms “After All.”

“Kelvin was the one who guided me. He’s a big boy,” 32-year-old Beauty said during a mediacon, referring to her leading man Kelvin, who is seven years younger. “But I feel comfortable working with Kelvin because this is our third project together. He’s a true gentleman and he takes care of me on the set.

“Before we do anything, we discuss it, we plan together with our director. So, it’s easy for us especially when you’re treated with respect and things are done properly on the set.”

They share intimate scenes in the film that explores reincarnation, soul mates and eternal love.

Beauty further quipped, “And he’s really handsome. Of course, it’s not difficult for me to kiss like that. I mean, let’s be realistic, right?

Beauty stars in the romance- drama ‘After All’ under ALV Films. Premiering in cinemas on Feb. 28, the movie exploring reincarnation, eternal love and soul mates, revives her love team with Kelvin Miranda.

“I really enjoyed the experience, the entire process of making the film. The audience should also see that you’re thrilled. Honestly, I was thrilled while filming. I hope the audience can feel it, too. I hope it shows in the film,” added Beauty, who’s also set to star in an untitled psychological thriller, which was “shot in film noir; black and white the whole time.”

In a previous media interview, the actress said that she tries to balance her career and family life through time management. She said, “If time management isn’t enough to intertwine everything, I mean, I’ll bring them along, my child (eight-year-old Olivia), there. We work it out, and I’m so lucky that my husband (Norman Crisologo) is so supportive of me. I have no complaints, no stress because I have his full support.”

“He doesn’t mind me working, he doesn’t mind me reaching for my dreams and that’s a big thing for me,” she added.

Meanwhile, true to her name, Beauty possesses one of the most beautiful faces in showbiz. While she may be blessed with natural beauty, she also puts effort into maintaining it.

As to how she also finds time for self-care and pampering, Beauty, who is Hey Pretty Skin’s first-ever celebrity endorser, said,  “I try to do my best. Because before I got into a relationship with Norman, I always told him that I needed ‘me time.’ I can’t (go on) without ‘me time.’

“And for me to fill your cups, I need to fill my cup, too. I’m happy that he respects that. Not a lot of guys are like that, you know. So it takes a lot from him to allow me to do what I want, and after that, that’s when we have our ‘me time’ together.”

Hey Pretty has been tapping into the star power of Beauty alongside fellow Kapuso star Dennis Trillo since last year to boost the brand’s business. As an endorser, Beauty shared how she shows her loyalty: “I keep promoting on my Instagram and sharing with my friends. I use their products, and everyone in the house does, too. It’s really important for an artista.”

Here’s The STAR’s brief e-mail interview with Beauty about how she takes care of herself:

Can you share some self-care habits that make you feel good inside and out?

“I actually love ceremony and process. It’s in my nature. So what others find as tedious and boring, I kinda enjoy.

“For example, others may have the simple three-step facial care, I probably have a dozen. Haha!

“But really the secret is to de-stress your mind then the Beauty you have on the inside will flow and shine.

“I find Pilates and Yoga to be the perfect combination of hard and soft, external and internal.”

What beauty lessons (and from whom) have influenced how you take care of yourself?

“Mostly trial and error, as a young girl, I was mostly a soap, water and lotion kinda girl. I kinda had to learn things organically. I watched lots of content and industry friends to finally figure out the best combinations for me to use.”

You’re a sought-after endorser for your looks. But have you experienced being criticized for how you look, and how did you deal with it and stay true to yourself through it?

“Strangely and kinda funny how so many people think I was overweight just yesterday. ‘Ay ang payat mo na pala!’ is a common reaction. Hehe! But thankfully, I’ve been generally spared from harsher criticism.

“I thought people often comment about my (Bisaya) accent, it affected me negatively at first. Now it’s actually a badge. My voice of pride, of belonging.”

When do you feel your prettiest or most beautiful?

“After work out, after … , and most especially, everytime I catch my hubby staring at me with Goo Goo Eyes (heart emoji).”
