MANILA, Philippines — Production has finished on the Hollywood indie film "Bad Man," which features Filipino actress Lovi Poe in the cast.

Poe confirmed her involvement in the film by sharing on Instagram a screenshot of an article by Deadline announcing the movie wrapping  its production.

"So happy to finally announce being part of 'Bad Man.' Can't wait to share more about this amazing film with an even more amazing cast!" Poe wrote in the caption, adding the shoot was the reason why she was in Alabama.

Among those who congratulated Poe on her casting were Janine Gutierrez, Iza Calzado, Ivana Alawi, Max Collins, Baron Geisler, Gian Magdangal, Richard Juan, and her husband Monty Blencowe, who is one the film's producers.

Starring with Poe in the action-comedy movie are Seann William Scott, Johnny Simmons, Rob Riggle, Chance Perdomo and Andre Hyland.

Inspired by a true story, "Bad Man" follows a wild man state cop, played by Scott, who arrives in a small town with a drug problem and immediately clashes with the local deputy (Simmons) as they attempt to solve a murder.

Scott is best known for his comedy roles, especially in the "American Pie" franchise. Riggle has also appeared in several comedies, including "21 Jump Street" and "The Other Guys."

The film will be the directorial debut of Michael Diliberti, who co-wrote the screenplay with JJ Nelson. Producers are looking for distributors at the ongoing Berlin International Film Festival.

Lovi was previously cast in two other Hollywood films, "The Chelsea Cowboy" and "My Sister's Bones," both of which are yet to be released.
