Star Center talents offer a variety of skills that range from acting, composing songs, dancing, and hosting to singing. They are also collaborative, passionate, and versatile. The NET25 artists showcase all this in the daily talent-reality TV show, Road To Starkada.

MANILA, Philippines — The journey to stardom of NET25 Star Center 33 talents has begun to unfold via the daily talent-reality TV show, Road To Starkada. Viewers get to know them by following their auditions and listening to their thoughts.

Also introduced in a recent virtual press conference prior to their show’s airing, the young and promising Starkadas got the chance to speak about their distinct talent and, at some point, shared unique characteristics that will help propel their careers in show business.

Sofi Fermazi, Nicky Gilbert, Gia Gonzales, John Heindrick, Via Lorica, Aaron Gonzalez, and Miyuki de Leon are some of the artists featured in Road To Starkada weekdays at 5:30 p.m.

“I would say it’s my singing,” said Sofi, who described herself as “ang K na Pop ng Starkada,” during the group interview. “I also compose songs.”

She takes pride in these talents, which help her carve her niche in the entertainment industry.

As for Nicky, the group’s ballerina, she shared her distinct talent is dancing. “I also do choreography. So, I think those two would make me more, you know, fly high for myself because kakaiba din kasi ang pagiging choreographer. I can do that and I can help the Starkadas (in future production numbers), and that is my distinct talent.”

According to Gia, she considers speaking, singing, and doing martial arts as her strongest skills.

From music composition and performance to dance and choreography, John, the Star Center’s heartthrob, is interested in essaying roles.

“Acting is something I really look forward to for myself,” said he. “I’ve been amazed at the work of an actor.”

Via, the proud Visayan of Starkada, would also like to explore such a creative skill and field.

“I want to push forward my acting career, and I want to be a flexible (and versatile) actor,” said she, who is up for any roles that may come her way.

Via also sees herself doing hosting and performing, among other skills.

Like John and Via, Filipino-Spanish Aaron and Filipino-Japanese Miyuki also want to foray into acting.

“Before joining NET25, I’ve had workshops for acting as well as other things like dancing, singing, and hosting. I really try my best to do everything as much as possible although, of course, there’s always room for improvement,” said he.

Miyuki shared, “My distinct talent has always been acting. It’s my passion, but at the same time, I really want to explore everything and every field, like now that I’m into hosting. I also sing.”

Given their talents and looks, the NET25 Star Center artists will headline projects that showcase what they’re made of. They are also aware of the importance of having positive attitude and pleasing personality as they find their way to showbiz.

“I’d like to focus on the character, ‘coz in this industry, character matters a lot. I’d say I’m very zealous that I don’t settle for less. So, in terms of the quality of work that I could put out, I could assure that, and versatility as well, you can put me anywhere and I grab anything. I’m that hungry right now and passionate,” said Gia.

Miyuki, on the other hand, added, “I’ve always tried to not box myself into a certain skill, especially dancing, which has always been my biggest weakness. But since we started with NET25 Star Center, we’ve had workshops on different things (such as acting, dancing, singing, fashion, and speech). From there, I’ve realized how important it is to not box myself into just one skill.”

However, what really sets her apart from the rest, said Miyuki, is the talent’s “strong backstory,” which may be revealed in the show.

“Duon ako kumukuha, yun yung pinaka-nagiging driving force ko and motivation ko (that’s where I draw my inspiration and it serves as my driving force as well as my motivation) to always make sure that whatever I put out there, it’s my best, like the optimal condition po siya,” said she.

The Star Center artists have so far gained insights about the ins and outs of the entertainment industry and learned ways to make a name for themselves.

With that, Aaron had this to say: “I think one thing that I’ve learned is that you will meet so many people with many different personalities. As I’ve mentioned earlier, you should be willing to work with them. So, I think that’s something that I’ve got.”
