Arjo Atayde, 'Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho' nominated at Busan content awards 2023
MANILA, Philippines — Arjo Atayde and "Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho" are nominated at the 2023 Asia Contents Awards and Global OTT Awards.
Arjo is pitted against heavyweights Takeru Satoh and Ryu Seung-ryong in the Best Lead Actor category. He is nominated for his role in the ABS-CBN International Productions, Nathan Studios and Prime Video thriller “Cattleya Killer.” He played the role of agent Anton Dela Rosa in the series.
Satoh is cited for his role in the hit romantic melodrama "First Love." He is best known for starring in the live-action movie adaptation of the Japanese anime and manga "Rurouni Kenshin."
Ryu Seung-ryong currently stars as one of the leads of the hit supernatural Korean series "Moving." His other notable work is "Miracle in Cell No. 7."
Meanwhile, the "Sugat ng Pangungulila" (Wounds of Woes) segment of the favorite Sunday lifestyle show "Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho" added its latest nomination to its previous citations.
It is nominated as Best Reality and Variety alongside South Korea's hit reality survival show "Physical 100" and "Saturday Night Live Korea."
It previously won the Gold World Medal at the 2023 New York Festivals last April.
“Wounds of Woes” tells the story of 14-year-old Daxen who has a skin condition called Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis, a reaction of the body towards certain drugs. It was found out that the boy's condition was due to the medicine he takes for seizures.
The 2023 Asian Contents Awards (ACA) and Global OTT Awards will take place on October 8 in Busan, South Korea. It is presented by Ministry of Science and ICT and Busan Metropolitan City. The awards ceremony is organized by Busan International Film Festival and Korea Radio Promotion Association, as an event of the 2023 edition of the festival.
