Carla Abellana joins 'Voltes V Legacy,' reveals new source of happiness amid rumored split with Tom Rodriguez
MANILA, Philippines — Kapuso actress Carla Abellana is now a cast member of the Philippine adaptation of hit anime series “Voltes V Legacy.”
According to the show’s Instagram account, Carla will play the character of Mary Ann Armstrong, a scientist and the mother of Steve, Big Bert and Little John.
“Mga Kapuso! Carla Abellana is ready to volt in as Mary Ann Armstrong sa #VoltesVLegacy!” the show captioned the post.
In her interview with Lhar Santiago in “24 Oras,” Carla expressed her joy in joining the much-awaited series.
“Napakalaking blessing sobra, iyon po ang nagpapasaya sa akin ngayon talaga, nagpapangiti sa akin ng malaki,” she said.
“Ang ganda ng set, ang ganda ng costumes, ang huhusay ng mga bata umarte. It’s amazing,” she added.
Recently, Carla began building her dream home after the rumored split with husband Tom Rodriguez.
In the Instagram account of her sister Erica Espiritu, a photo of Carla was posted on the IG story. Carla was seen posing with a shovel in an empty lot.
“Proud of this smart, strong and independent woman, @carlaabelanna. Here’s to your future dream home, seester abu!” Erica wrote.
