MANILA, Philippines — Comedian Allan Padua, popularly known as Mura, couldn’t believe that his friend Mahal passed away.

Mahal recently visited Mura in Guinubatan, Albay to provide help to her on-screen partner.

In a report by ABS-CBN News, Mura said she thought that the report of Mahal’s passing was just fake news.

Mura said that Mahal assured him that she would help him even if she will have no projects in showbiz.

The comedian said that he and Mahal were supposed to reunite on screen but the passing of the comedienne cut his dreams to return to showbiz.

"Meron na sana kaming gagawin lalo na pelikula, eh hindi ko pa talaga siya nakasama sa pelikula sa mga ano lang gag show sa TV kasama ko siya, pero sa pelikula never ko pa siyang nakasama," he said.

Mura said he wanted to attend Mahal’s wake but couldn’t because of the pandemic.

Mahirap ngayon eh. Pasensya na po," he said. —Video from Mahal YouTube channel
