Arabella thankful to have ‘supportive boyfriend’ in Jimuel

After Arabella del Rosario recently admitted that she’s going steady with Jimuel Pacquiao, the Star Magic artist said that having a lot in common with the eldest son of boxing champ Sen. Manny Pacquiao makes their relationship all the more smooth-sailing.

They are both pet lovers, with Arabella revealing that she and Jimuel are fur parents to an American Bully named AJ, “from the initials of our names,” shared the Orabella Philippines ambassador for skincare during the virtual media con held last May 15.

“We are also very adventurous so we like to do extreme feats pero since pandemic, mahirap po ngayon,” she added. “We love riding roller-coasters at gusto namin mag-road trip and to try a new hobby.”

In fact, the two young stars had fun bonding over their newfound hobby, which is wakeboarding. “We’re very similar and we like almost the same things sometimes scary na nga po (because) we finish each other’s sentences; parang we think the same, like on social media or sa TikTok, nag-se-send-an kami ng same video kaya nagugulat na lang kami,” said Arabella.

She, too, described their relationship as “very healthy.” Never did she feel jealous despite rumors that a lot of girls — and gays — are sending feelers to her beau.

“Kasi kami ni Jimuel, we’re very close. We started off as friends and we’re very communicative with one another. He always reassures me naman po and he doesn’t give me any reason to doubt anything so hindi ganun kahirap ‘yung relationship namin. We’re very healthy, overall.”

Arabella also said that Jimuel supports everything that she does, especially her acting career and being a product endorser.

“He’s very happy for me,” said Arabella.

“Very supportive boyfriend naman s’ya sa akin. He said (that I have) to do my best and kaya ko daw ‘to. Sabi n’ya, you should believe in what you endorse. S’yempre kailangan mong i-try and you have to really believe and walk the talk because if you don’t really believe in the product, it really does show. So, kailangan talagang naniniwala ka sa product at hindi lang basta-basta.”

Asked for her thoughts on how to achieve a healthy relationship, Arabella said it is important to put God at the center of the relationship, “kasi ‘pag ‘yun ang nangyari, everything will follow,” she said. “Another one is, make each other an inspiration to set goals like finishing your studies because that’s important. So, set your goals together.”

It’s not clear how they met but both are of the same age. Arabella and Jimuel’s showbiz careers are handled by ABS-CBN Star Magic.

Arabella, who was launched as part of the Star Magic Circle in 2019, said in a profile given by her talent management arm that she’s “a simple girl but with a lot of dreams and goals in life, which I will definitely achieve. Claiming it!”

Before entering showbiz, the only child was also a figure skater. She was discovered through a mini-VTR.

Raised by a single mom, Arabella joined showbiz because “one, a girl can dream. Two, why not di ba? Three, you will never know until you try and find out.”

She is currently a veterinary student at Dela Salle Araneta.
