Why Daniel Padilla says no to living-in with Kathryn Bernardo
MANILA, Philippines — Kapamilya couple Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo have no plans to move in together anytime soon.
Daniel said during "The House Arrest of Us" Finale Bloggers Conference on Wednesday that he and Kathryn will get married before becoming a live-in couple.
Magpakasal muna kami at'saka kami magsasama sa isang bahay,” he said.
Daniel explained that Kathryn still has her niece Lhexine to take care of while he has his own siblings to watch over.
Marami pa kaming bantayang magaganap so magpapakasal muna kami.”
Daniel previously said that he plans to tie the knot with Kathryn before hitting his 30s.
“Ang nakikita ko kasi talaga siguro after three or four years, basta before ako mag-30. So sana before 30 maging swabe na ang lahat at matuloy ang kasal,” the 25-year-old said in October last year.
Asked if this time frame has changed due to the pandemic or news of other celebrities’ engagements, the couple said they are in no rush to get married.
Meanwhile, Kathryn said that they are not pressured by others to get wed immediately.
“Iba-iba tayo ng timing lahat. Kami siguro kumportable kami na bago tumalon sa ganyang klaseng buhay kailangan ready kami because ayaw namin masira ‘yung relationship just because hindi kami ready pareho,” she said.
