'Wowowin' co-host Donita Nose tests positive for COVID-19
MANILA, Philippines — Kapuso TV host Donita Nose, real name Ogie Solano, was the latest victim of novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in the entertainment industry.
According to a "24 Oras" report, the "Wowowin" co-host is said to have expected the disease after having diarrhea, cough and fever in the past week.
“Mag-isa akong lumalaban dito ngayon, as in wala akong kasama, magsi-CR ako, ako lang."
Donita said that although alone at battling the virus, the comedian knows that many are praying for recovery.
“Sabi ko nga kahit mag-isa lang ako dito, I know hindi ako nag-iisa, sa mga dasal, sa lahat. Kasi alam kong maraming nagmamahal sa akin."
Donita advised COVID-19 patients to not be ashamed to come out because it is for their own good.
Hindi natin gusto ‘to. Walang may gusto nito. Talagang kung tatamaan ka, tatamaan ka."
Donita also asked fellow Filipinos to not take the virus for granted because although careful not to get it, the comedian still ended up being positive for COVID-19.
“Huwag niyo gawing biro ‘yung paglabas-labas.
Donita was the latest to suffer from the disease in local showbiz, after Michael V., Sylvia Sanchez, Iza Calzado and Christopher de Leon.
