Good news for fans of multi-awarded Korean actor Yeo Jin Goo who will be coming for the first time for his first fan meeting tour, Memory Line, on Feb. 1, 2020 at the New Frontier Theater.

His TV series starrer Hotel del Luna, currently airing on ABS-CBN, is one of the highest rated Korean dramas in cable television history. According to Wilbros Live (which is behind the Memory Line event), Yeo wants to thank his supporters and share valuable memories with them.

Yeo started as a child actor. His very first TV drama appearance was in I Want To Love (2006). In 2008, he appeared in the dramas Iljimae and Tazza as the younger versions of the lead characters. He won Best Child Actor for both series in the SBS Drama Awards.

He gained popularity through the period drama Moon Embracing the Sun, where he played a young prince and the titular role in the 2013 movie Hwaji: The Monster Boy. His first leading role in a TV drama was Orange Marmalade that aired in 2015. In 2017, he starred in dramas Circle and Reunited Worlds and in the film Warriors of the Dawn.

2019 proved to be a banner year for Yeo as he starred in three dramas of different genres — dual roles in The Crowned Clown, the romantic sci-fi drama My Absolute Boyfriend, and the fantasy drama Hotel del Luna.

(Tickets to Yeo Jin Goo’s Memory Line — First Fan Meeting in Manila 2020 went on-sale starting last Dec. 22 via TicketNet.com.ph and TicketNet outlets, or call 8911-5555 for more information.)

The countries that havewon in big four pageants

Sad to note that Filipino beauty-watchers were luhaan (teary-eyed) over the fate of our bets abroad, with only Leren Bautista placing second runner-up in the Miss Globe pageant.

Meanwhile, here’s an item about the four countries that have won in the big four pageants (Miss World, Miss Universe, Miss International and Miss Earth), compiled by Funfare’s other “beauty expert” Celso de Guzman Caparas:

The first country to win all four major international pageant titles was Brazil, starting with Miss Earth 2004. Brazil has won two Miss Universe crowns, two Misses Earth, one Miss World crown and one Miss International crown.

Second is Venezuela with seven Misses Universe, eight Misses International, six Misses World and two Misses Earth. By winning Miss Earth 2013, Venezuela became the first country to win all four pageants multiple times.

Third is the Philippines, touted to be the only country from the Eastern Hemisphere to win all titles: six Misses International, four Misses Universe, and one Miss World crown. By winning Miss World 2013, Miss International 2013, Miss Earth 2014, Miss Earth 2015 and Miss Universe 2015, the Philippines became the fastest country to win all four major titles in three calendar years.

After winning Miss Earth 2019, Puerto Rico finished fourth and the first territory to win all titles in the Big Four pageant with five Misses Universe and two of each in Miss World and Miss International.
