WATCH: MayWard reveal real score between them

MANILA, Philippines — Kapamilya love team Edward Barber and Maymay Entrata have just admitted the real score between them. 

During a recent press conference of their newest fantaserye “Hiwaga ng Kambat,” Edward and Maymay said they are just taking one step at a time and taking things slow. 

“If there's one thing I learned from Kuya, sa bahay ni Kuya, is to take things slow. Discover lang as you go along. Don't rush into things... The best things in the world, the best things you should love, are things you gain slowly, so ‘yun ang totoo po, ayokong isipin,” Edward explained. 

Maymay is thankful for having Edward in her life because of his consistency.   

“Ang damdamin ko po kay Dodong ay sobrang thankful po ako na dumating siya sa buhay ko dahil po siya ‘yung lalake na consistent po talaga. Kapag may gusto siya sa isang babae, ‘pag sinabi niyang 'hihintayin kita,' ‘di po ba may ibang lalake na 'hihintayin kita hanggang three months' tapos wala na po?” Maymay pointed out.

Maymay added that she felt beautiful because of how Edward treated her and her family. Nonetheless, she said this is not a proper time for them to be in a relationship because of their personal goals. 

“Feeling ko ang ganda-ganda ko po dahil hanggang ngayon po ay nililigawan ang family ko. At saka talagang mas mabuti po na mas kilalanin muna ang isa't isa. Hindi pa po talaga time,” she said. 

“Kagaya ng sinabi namin kanina, priority po muna namin ‘yung family namin, ‘yung pangarap namin, kung ano meron sa amin ngayon, kung ano meron sa’min ngayon na blessings dahil ‘yung totoong maging official na, darating po ‘yun sa tamang panahon ‘pag nasa stable na po ang lahat,” she added.  

Maymay also admitted that she already had a boyfriend, while Edward said he never had a girlfriend yet. 

“First talaga na boyfriend nasaranasan ko na. Dahil hindi ako nakinig sa lola ko, nagkamali talaga ko,” Maymay confessed.         

Edward reiterated that it is better for a couple to be friends first for them to know each other’s real attitude. 

“Mas maganda talaga ‘pag naguumpisa ‘pag kaibigan.That's what you know directly, straight from the core. Of course, you show your best self to them tapos unti-unting lumalabas ‘yung mga flaws.
