MANILA, Philippines — Kapamilya actress Nadine Lustre reacted to people’s assertions that she is more successful than contemporaries Kathryn Bernardo and Liza Soberano.

In a press conference after she won Best Actress in the recently concluded Famas Awards, Nadine said she does not look that way because they have their own strengths.

“I don’t look at it like that. Sa akin po parang lahat kami may iba’t ibang strength. So maybe this year sa akin, next year sa kanila. Hindi po ako ‘yung klase ng tao na tumitingin sa success ng ibang tao e. I’m just really happy with what I have. I’m really thankful for it, always,” Nadine said.

Nadine bagged the Famas Best Actress trophy for the movie “Never Not Love You,” in which she starred with on- and off-screen partner James Reid.

Since Liza backed out from the Darna role after her finger injury, Nadine also said in the press conference that she is willing to undergo audition for the role if she will be asked by her management.

“‘Pag sinabihan po ako, gagawin ko. I’m very open to everything…  Hindi pa po, but if they ask me, of course I would want to do it. Sino naman pong ayaw maging Darna, ‘di ba?” Nadine said.

She added that she is ready to suit up for the iconic role and admitted that being Darna is a big responsibility.

“Siyempre po, kasi malaking responsibilidad po ‘yun, e. Siyempre si Darna ‘yun, Filipino icon. Hindi ka puwedeng magkamali talaga,” Nadine said.
