Gretchen Ho on being stood up by Mayweather: ‘How to be a billionaire po?’
MANILA, Philippines — Kapamilya host Gretchen Ho aired her experience on the recent controversy regarding Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s no-show for his own press conference scheduled to be held at Resorts World Manila on Tuesday.
Gretchen, who was supposed to host the event with Andrei Felix, documented her experience in her Instagram account after waiting for the undefeated boxer for eight hours before the organizer announced that Floyd will not be able to attend.
“‘A tragedy is always a good story to tell.’ Me on Mayweather’s no-show at the presscon after 8+ hours of waiting. Now, I can tell my grandkids, I was once stood up by Floyd. Good thing we a pro,” Gretchen wrote.
Reports said that the scheduled press conference was at 3 p.m., but people waited for Floyd until 10 p.m.
Insiders claimed that after Floyd arrived in Manila from Boracay, he proceeded to Greenbelt to shop at Louis Vuitton and buy a pair of Nike shoes instead of going to the press con.
“Waiting for Mayweather be like....8 hours & counting Nagpa Belo, bumili ng LV at sapatos, kumain ng inasal sa MOA, at nagfrefreshen up muna raw #LikeABoss How to be a billionaire po?” Gretchen wrote in another post.
