MANILA, Philippines — The Backstreet Boys will have a concert in Manila on October 28, the American ‘90s boy band announced on Twitter on Tuesday.

The group behind hit songs “Get Down,” “Backstreet’s Back” and “As Long As You Love Me,” among others, will be stopping by Manila as part of their “DNA World Tour.”

The tour, which highlights the group’s new album, “DNA,” will exclusively roam around Asia in October, to include countries such as Thailand, Japan, China, Taiwan, Indonesia and Singapore.

Kevin Richardson, Brian Littrell, Howie Dorough, AJ McLean and Nick Carter last performed in Manila in May 2015.

Last year, Richardson told The STAR’s Entertainment Editor Ricky Lo that he and his group are excited to return to Manila for a concert. Last year, the group went on a 25th anniversary world tour.

Formed in Orlando, Florida in 1993, Backstreet Boys rose to fame with their self-titled debut album in 1996, followed by “Backstreet’s Back” (1997), “Millennium” (1999), “Black & Blue” (2000), “Never Gone” (2005), “Unbreakable” (2007), “This is Us” (2009) and “DNA” (2019).

The multi-Grammy-nominated boy band sold over 100 million records globally, making them the best-selling boy band of all time and one of the world’s top-selling music artists. They are also the first group since Led Zeppelin to have their first 10 albums reach the Billboard 200 top 10 and is reportedly the only boy band to do so. They are also believed to be the first American boy band to top US charts in three decades.

The group received their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2013 and began their Las Vegas residency in 2017.
