Noah Centineo to return as ‘boyfriend-for-hire’ in Netflix’s ‘The Perfect Date’
MANILA, Philippines— After his successful acting stint on “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before” and “Sierra Burgess is Loser,” actor Noah Centineo is set to return in a new romantic-comedy film “The Perfect Date.”
“The Perfect Date” follows the life of Noah who plays Brooks Rattigan. He created a dating app where he’ll “stand in” for non-existent boyfriends to raise funds for college.
However, playing a different character every night of the week leads him to question who he really is and who he wants to be with.
Noah who previously played a role in “Charlie’s Angels” is joined by leading casts Laura Marano of“Lady Bird” and “Austin & Ally” as well as Camila Mendes of “Riverdale.
The film will also star Odiseas Georgiadis (Trinkets) and two-time Emmy nominee Matt Walsh (Veep).
Netflix announced that it acquired the rights for this film produced by by Awesomeness Films and Ace Entertainment.
“The Perfect Date” is directed by Chris Nelson (My Dead Ex). It is written by Steve Bloom and Randall Green.
Among the producers are Matt Kaplan and John Tomko while the executive producers for the film are Jordan Levin, Brett Bouttier, Matthew Signer, Marc Beinstock, Robyn Marshall, Scott Levine, Don Dunn, Steve Bloom, and David Blackman. It is co-produced by Jessica Held and Kelsey Jackson .
