Jay R, Mica Javier now engaged
MANILA, Philippines — After being in a relationship for more than five years, RnB singer Jay R and singer Mica Javier are now engaged.
On his Instagram account, Jay R announced his engagement with the GirlTrend member.
“Meet my (fiancée),” he wrote on the caption of their photo.
For her part, Mica described Jay R’s proposal as "surreal" and she shared how surprised shw was with what happened.
“I can’t believe it. He pulled off the biggest surprise ever, I had NO CLUE what was happening even while it was happening. The space went silent as I watched him mouth the words, eyes teared up, our dearest friends and family clamouring in the background...” she wrote on her Instagram account.
“For a fleeting moment I froze in shock, thoughts battling between “are we still shooting a music video?!” and “hang on is this forreal?!”, I was stunned and it was surreal but there was no doubt in my mind, my answer was always going to be YES. I love you @rnbjayr & I’m so excited to be your wifey!” she added.
Celebrities in the venue at the time of proposal also shared photos and videos of the couple.
“Congratulations @rnbjayr and @mica on your engagement! We are so happy and excited for your new life together. We love you and may God bless you always,” Jaya captioned her video.
Kris Lawrence and Maxene Magalona also shared photos of the engagement on their Instagram stories.
