What should Filipino viewers expect from tvN’s ‘One Night Food Trip’

MANILA, Philippines — tvN’s original production, "One Night Food Trip – International Edition," will not only showcase K-pop and local stars getting a taste of Filipino delicacies but it will also flaunt the magnificence of the country’s tourist attractions and culture.

The cast of the Philippine segment of the popular Korean television show—which include 2PM’s Nichkhun Horvejkul, former U-Kiss member Alexander Lee Eusebio and celebrity cousins Ciara Sotto and Danica Sotto-Pingris—stressed this point during the show’s press conference Friday.

Aside from watching them munch on local delicacies, viewers will get to fall in love with the Philippines, Ciara said, who also admitted that she experienced a “newfound love” for the country through the show.

“You will fall in love with the Philippines more if you watch One Night Food Trip because you will see not just yummy food but also beautiful places in our country,” the singer-actress said.

Danica added that the show is perfect for the people who love to travel. “You will really enjoy watching and you will feel, ‘I love to try that food. I love to go to that place.’”

Nichkhun, who returned to the Philippines for the show, had nothing but praises for the country.

“When you watch this show, you will really have a lot of places to take your girlfriend, wife, family and friends with a very nice view,” the Thai-American star said.

For Alexander, their fans will be able to see them in a different light through "One Night Food Trip."

“You guys saw lot of us in dramas, music stages, whatever. But you haven’t seen us eat so much and relax. You will see a different side of us also,” the lead star of GMA-7’s "My Korean Jagiya" said.

Nichkhun and Alexander will go against Ciara and Danica in a gastronomic foodventure around the country. The K-pop stars traveled from Cebu to Pampanga while the celebrity cousins took a separate way from Coron to Legazpi.

The team that earns more stamps within 48 hours will be hailed the winner and take the Golden Passport.
