Erich Gonzales shares lesson learned from breakup with Daniel Matsunaga

MANILA, Philippines — Kapamilya actress Erich Gonzales admitted that she is opening her heart again after a failed relationship with actor Daniel Matsunaga.

During a recent media interview at Seda Hotel for her new endorsement mySlim, the “Blood Sisters” star revealed that she has a non-showbiz suitor, who is the brother of Claudia Barretto’s boyfriend.  

“Wala naman tayong tinatago. Ako single po ako, he’s single also,” she said.  

She shared that she and the guy are still in the getting-to-know stage.

“We’re just getting to know each other muna para klaro. Siyempre natuto na tayo na bago pumasok sa isang relasyon dapat kilalanin muna ang isa’t isa,” she hinted of a lesson she learned from her past relationship with Matsunaga.

Erich narrated that she and her suitor went together at her sister’s art exhibit in Japan recently, but she stressed that her showbiz career is her priority.

“Alam nyo yung sinasabing too good to be true, parang ‘di ka maniniwala sa ganun. May mga tao pala talagang nage-exist na ganon. Too good but true talaga,” Erich said.

“I told him naman na for now committed ako with my show, my work, but then when the time comes na nandyan pa rin siya and ready na ko to commit, why not,” she added.  

The actress shared what she likes most from her suitor.

“’Pag alam nya na libre ako ngayong araw na to, siya mismo ang gagawa ng paraan to see me. ‘Yung effort ng tao nakikita ko naman… In fairness sa kanya, consistent and persistent siya. ‘Di lang puro sa salita, pati sa gawa. For now, we’re enjoying each other’s company at kinikilala pa ang isa’t isa.”

Erich also said that they already met each other’s families and so far, everything is well between their families.

Meanwhile, Erich’s ex, Daniel, also seems to have moved on as he is reportedly dating a Polish model, who netizens think look like Erich.  

Erich was formally announced as the new face of mySlim. During the launch, she underscored the new meaning of sexy that the brand has helped define. With this move, the slimming product cements its stand to encourage women to see beyond weight loss regimens, fad diets, and even expensive and often dangerous aesthetic interventions.
