Paris Hilton gets engaged for the third time

MANILA, Philippines — After reportedly dating around 40 men through the years, hotel heiress and reality TV star Paris Hilton said she has finally found “the one.”
Hilton’s current boyfriend, Chris Zylka, proposed to Paris atop a ski resort in Aspen, Colorado on New Year, and “The Simple Life” star said “Yes!”
"I said Yas! So happy & excited to be engaged to the love of my life," Hilton said in the caption of her Instagram post announcing the engagement.
She noted that she said “yes” because Zylka is her "best friend and soulmate.”
“Perfect for me in every way. So dedicated, loyal, loving & kindhearted. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world! You are my dream come true! Thank you for showing me that fairytales do exist."

In another tweet, Paris further expressed her love for her fiancé. She said: “Never in a million years did I think I would find someone so completely perfect for me. Someone who would make me happier than I ever dreamed I could be. Someone that would touch my life so profoundly & give me a whole new reason to breathe. But then I found you & realized that everything I anticipated you to be doesn't even compare to how incredibly amazing you are...”

In his Instagram account, Zylka also expressed his happiness for Paris’ acceptance of his proposal.
“The love of my life said : YES ! I am so happy thank you I love you so much @parishilton,” he wrote.
“Paris is the most beautiful and incredible woman both inside and out,” Zylka said in an interview with PEOPLE. “I feel like the luckiest man in the world to be marrying my dream girl. I can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives together.”
In her Instagram post on January 3, Paris flaunts the two-million-dollar sparkler Zylka gave her as engagement ring.
“The ring was so gorgeous and sparkling. I was shaking as I put it on. It is the most beautiful ring that I have ever seen!” Paris told PEOPLE about the ring.
The 20-carat, pear-shaped diamond ring was patterned after the ring of Paris’ mother, which Paris told Chris she really liked.
Chris reportedly hangs out a lot with Paris’ family and has met with Paris’ father to ask for her hand in marriage. Last July, he had Paris’ name tattooed in Disney font on his forearm.
"A girl so lucky! My love was surprised and she got her name tattooed #Disney. And then I told her because she was my most magical place on Earth and I finally found my fairytale princess which I am very very proud of," he explained why he had the tattoo.
Born Christopher Settlemire, Zylka is from Ukranian descent and was raised in Ohio. He adopted his mother's maiden name as screen name.
He studied at the University of Toledo then started his Hollywood career as a guest in the teenage drama “90210” in 2008.
Since then, he has appeared in shows like Chris Rock’s sitcom “Everybody Hates Chris,” “Hannah Montana,” “Cougar Town” and “Luther.” His biggest break so far is as Joey Donner on the TV version of the hit film “10 Things I Hate About You.” He has also appeared in the movies “The Amazing Spider-Man,” “Shark Night” and “Piranha,” and in TV series “Twisted” and HBO’s “The Leftovers.”
The engagement with Paris is the second for Chris. In 2014, he got engaged to model Hanna Beth, but their engagement was canceled the following year. From 2011 to 2012, he also dated actress Lucy Hale.
Eight years ago, Chris met Paris at an Oscars party in Chateau Marmont. They, however, only began dating in 2016 and made their relationship public through social media in February last year.

Prior to Chris, Paris got engaged to model Jason Shaw, but they broke up in 2003. She also got engaged to Greek shipping heir Paris Latsis in 2005. Likewise, she dated other actors, as well as musicians and athletes; including Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter, Dutch DJ Afrojack and Good Charlotte guitarist Benji Madden.
She has been spotted or photographed kissing Jared Leto, 50 Cent, and Val Kilmer, and has been romantically linked to Leonardo di Caprio, Andy Roddick, Colin Farrell, Chad Michael Murray and Oscar de la Hoya. Paris and Rick Salomon's trysts were infamously documented in the sex tape “1 Night in Paris,” which many believe to have turned the hotel heiress into an overnight sensation.
Paris seems to be putting behind this long list of relationships as she embraces the New Year with a new engagement. In a tweet, she stressed why Zylka is the “one”: “One day, someone will walk into your life & make you see why it never worked out with anyone else...”
