Robin Thicke in Manila to open 'world’s largest multicolor fountain'
MANILA, Philippines — Robin Thicke, known for his controversial "twerking" or suggestive dance moves with pop star Miley Cyrus at the 2013 MTV Video and Music Awards, will be coming to Manila to perform in the inauguration of what has been dubbed, "the world’s largest multicolor dancing water fountain."
The American singer, songwriter and record producer rose to global stardom with the release of his single, "Blurred Lines," which landed on top of the US Billboard Hot 100. He has worked with other artists such as Christina Aguilera, Nicki Minaj, Pharrell Williams, Jennifer Hudson, Usher, Mary J. Blige and Flo Rida.
On March 31, Thicke will be performing in Okada Manila alongside Filipino singer Gerphil Flores, "Asia's Got Talent" second runner-up; as well as the 40-piece Manila Philharmonic Orchestra. Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach will be the guest host during the opening of Okada's new amenity, which has been touted as "the world’s largest multicolor dancing water fountain."
Situated at the heart of the 44-hectare resort, Okada Manila’s The Fountain will officially debut a spectacular dancing water fountain show in sync with music and multicolor lights. The show will be enhanced with a highly immersive projection mapping onto the glass surface of the 800 meter-long crystal corridor surrounding The Fountain, which will create a whimsical augmented and interactive reality.
The combination of digital technology, live acrobatic and circus performances and the grand water fountain display is expected to romance the senses of anyone who would come to see the first-of-its-kind and iconic show in Manila.
