MANILA, Philippines — Comedian K Brosas launched her first book, “K-Sabihan, Ang Alamat ng Teh at Iba Pang Kasagutan,” last weekend with a mini-concert and a meet-and-greet at Robinsons Place Manila.

The new author’s good friends Jaya, Erik Santos, Kyla, Pokwang, Pooh, Thor, and Benj Manalo serenaded the guests with fun performances. Jex de Castro, the “Ultimate Resbaker” from “It’s Showtime’s” “Tawag Ng Tanghalan” also performed in the grand launching.

Released by ABS-CBN Publishing, “K-Sabihan” is a compilation of K’s witty remarks popularized in “Tawag ng Tanghalan.” K shares proverbial accounts and funny anecdotes on love and life in the book, including stories from her past and advice on how to be happy despite being single.

“A lot of millennials will find this read relatable. Those in unlabeled relationships, those whose feelings are unreciprocated—a lot of those examples, so I’m sure that a lot of the young ones will be affected,” shared K.

K has always dreamed to become an author. She was even rejected once by a local publisher, but that did not stop her from writing a masterpiece – a hilarious one that is.

“Only a few knew that I have a blog. It has long been my dream to write a book and share interesting stories in the level of JK Rowling and EL James,” she joked.

K joins an elite roster of authors, which includes the late Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago, Alex Gonzaga, Georgina Wilson, Solenn Heussaff, Senyora Santibañez, and Ramon Bautista.
