Boyz II Men, Flo Rida to perform medleys at Miss Universe

MANILA, Philippines - In separate interviews for Philstar.com, Grammy-Award-winning R&B group Boyz II Men and hip hop star Flo Rida revealed that they will sing the hits Filipinos loved from them during the Miss Universe coronation to be aired live today at 8 a.m., Manila time.

“It’s nice to be around such beauty, such elegance. It’s why we do what we do,” said Boyz II Men, which promised to sing “a medley of songs that you’ll definitely recognize and sing along with.”

According to them, they might come back next year for another concert in Manila.

“Manila is always a nice place to come to. The Philippines has loved us a lot. It’s nice to know that we still have friends here, so we shall be back!” they avowed.

A Miss Universe winner, for them, is not all about looks but “how she carried herself and the kind of spirit she has.”

Flo Rida, for his part, came to the Philippines for the first time and said he cannot wait to explore the islands. He thinks Filipinas are “gorgeous”.

“I’m really very excited to be part of one of the biggest events of the year!” declared the recording artist, who will release a new album this summer.
