Andreas Muñoz almost lost 'Ignacio de Loyola' role

MANILA, Philippines – Andreas Muñoz shared how he almost didn’t bag the role of St. Ignatius in the film “Ignacio de Loyola.”

First of which is the timing for the audition. The audition for the role happened when he was in London and currently working on a different project.

He narrated what he did at the time the audition was held.

“I sent my brother Omar to audition. I told him, 'please submit my CV, please talk about me and what I do,’” he said in an interview on Wednesday.

After his brother was able to convince the panel to give him a shot, Andreas was glad that he got a call from them.

“They asked if I can fly to Barcelona to audition for it and I said, 'of course, yes,’” he recalled.

However, the challenge for him didn’t end there. Just when he was about to fly to Barcelona, Spain from London, he lost his plane ticket.

“For the first time in my life, I lost my plane ticket from London to Barcelona, and I had no money!” he recalled, laughing.

Luckily, when he called his parents, they were more than willing to help him and booked another ticket for him.

With all the things he had to go through to get the role, Andreas has learned two things both from his experiences and portraying the role, which are “silence and patience.”

“Ignacio de Loyola” is directed by Paulo Dy and will be in cinemas on July 27.
