Erik Santos to keep ‘relationship’ with Angeline Quinto private

MANILA, Philippines — Erik Santos wants to keep private whatever is going on between him and Angeline Quinto.

"I prefer na kung magkakaro'n kami ni Angeline ng official na relasyon talaga, mas okay siguro kung i-keep namin sa sarili namin," said Erik during the press conference of "Royals" on Tuesday.

He clarified that they would let the public know if they're officially together, but would choose to keep the details of the relationship to themselves.

Kasi mahirap talaga, sa dati kong experience, nahirapan po talaga ako," he explained, referring to his past showbiz girlfriend, Rufa Mae Quinto.

The Kapamilya balladeer also noted how the popularity of social media could somehow be damaging to a relationship of a showbiz couple.

"Kasi lahat ng tao kapag hindi kayo umaamin, especially now a days na may social media, gusto nila malaman kung kayo. Kapag kayo na, gagawa lahat ng mga ingay para mapaghiwalay," he pointed out.

For now, he's enjoying the "more than friendship" relationship they have, although he reiterated that they're not yet an item.

At the same press conference, Martin Nievera advised them and other showbiz couple that it's better to "keep your relationship private" in this industry.
