Exo live in Manila

MANILA, Philippines - Globe and PULP Live World have announced that Exo Planet: The Exo’ Luxion Live In Manila is now a two-night affair, after tickets have been sold out for the original one-day run merely hours after their release.

The Korean boy group Exo is pulling all stops for the history-making, first-ever two-day full production K-Pop show on Jan. 23 and 24 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

Kai, Suho, Baekhyun, Chanyeol, D.O., Sehun, Xiumin, Lay and Chen will showcase their impressive vocals, dancing skills and charm by performing hits such as Mama, Wolf, Growl, Overdose and Call Me Baby. Filipino fans called Exo-Ls can hardly contain their excitement in watching their idols’ “out-of-this-world” brand of showmanship.

The group kicked off its tour last March with four shows at the Olympic Park Stadium in Seoul. During Exo’s first world tour in Seoul, Exo From. Exoplanet #1 — The Lost Planet, tickets were sold out within 1.47 seconds, showing the high popularity of the group. With this experience, the ticketing site YES24 prepared more servers to cater to the massive number of fans around, but the boys were faced with a record-breaking 1.2 million Korean fans visiting the site all at the same time. 

Exo is a Chinese-South Korean boy band based in Seoul, formed by S.M. Entertainment in 2011. In 2013, Exo released its first best-selling album, XOXO, that contained the breakthrough hit, Growl. The album shot Exo to stardom and won for the group the Disk Daesang Award (highest award) at the 28th Golden Disk Awards. It also received the Album of the Year Award at the 15th Mnet Asian Music Awards.

XOXO sold over one million copies, putting Exo as the fastest-selling Korean artist in the last 12 years. The third EP Overdose (2014) made Exo the highest-charting Korean male act on Billboard 200 at No. 129 and it peaked at No. 2 on Billboard’s World Albums Chart.

In line with the promotion of the event, the Exo Dolls Caravan is ongoing at key SM branches nationwide. It is a chance for Exo-Ls to watch the Exo Dolls dance the most popular hits and have their photos taken with the K-Pop band.
