Pia Wurtzbach wants Steve Harvey to visit the Philippines

MANILA, Philippines - Maybe he can extend his pageant-hosting career in the Philippines?

In an interview in the SiriusXM radio show "Sway in the Morning," Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach said she wants the controversial TV host to come to the Philippines.

"I love Steve Harvey, so you don't have to worry," Pia told program host Sway Halloway when he said he won't be asking the beauty queen the "same things about Steve Harvey because that's a friend of mine."

Halloway added, "Let's look at it like this, Pia: congratulations on the honor. If it wasn't for Steve Harvey, I don't know if any of us would pay as much attention to the Miss Universe pageant as we did this year."

"I want to see Steve Harvey again though," Pia said.

"I actually want him to visit the Philippines," she added. "I might actually take him around myself. Why not, right?"

The 26-year-old Miss Universe said she is sure Filipinos will welcome Harvey.

Pia officially started her duties as Miss Universe earlier this week.
