MANILA, Philippines - KC Concepcion and Anne Curtis-Smith participated in United Nation's celebration of their 70th anniversary.

Anne is UNICEF Philippines’ celebrity advocate for children, promoting to give children their basic needs like food and education.

"Earlier this year, I joined UNICEF Philippines and so far it's such a learning experience for myself," she said during the event which happened last October 23 at the SM Mall of Asia entertainment hall.

She then promoted the "Heroes for Children Run,” a fund-raising event to support UNICEF Philippines' different projects for the Filipino children that happened on Sunday, October 25.

Anne also prepared a short performance for the celebration, and made a disclaimer saying "I'm not a good singer so bear with me!"

Goodwill Ambassador for World Food Program KC Concepcion was also present that night. The Kapamilya actress has been World Food Programme National Ambassador Against Hunger for seven years now.

"It has been such an honor, such a privilege to be surrounded by these real-life heroes," she said. "It's my pleasure and my happiness to be part of this community where I meet wonderful, intelligent and most importantly compassionate people who work from their heart."

“I hope someday you people will be part of our advocacy," she added, talking to the crowd watching the event. She also prepared a song number to celebrate UN's anniversary.
