Janno Gibbs tells 'It's Showtime': Mahirap tapatan ang AlDub

MANILA, Philippines — TV5 talent and former GMA-7 star Janno Gibbs took to social media to comment on the competition between the Kapamilya network's "It's Showtime" and the Kapuso network's "Eat Bulaga."

In a post in his Instagram account on Wednesday, Janno admitted that he is a fan of AlDub, the onscreen love team of Alden Richards and Maine "Yaya Dub" Mendoza that leads "Eat Bulaga's" popular "kalye-serye" segment.

He also said that, "For a time I was sad when I'd switch to 'Showtime' 'pag commercials ng 'Bulaga.' Halata mong 'di nila alam ang gagawin."

Janno, however, noted, "Lately... unti-unti bumabalik ang sigla ng show."

"Ganyan lang 'Showtime!' Just enjoy what you're doing! Gano'n talaga... Phenomenon ang Aldub... Mahirap tapatan 'yun. Just keep doing your own thing."

The singer-actor also acknowledged the fact that his TV5 Sunday afternoon show "Happy Truck ng Bayan" is "obviously a third choice" against ABS-CBN's "ASAP" and GMA-7's "Sunday PinaSaya."

"But we just enjoy the show and do our own thing. No pressure. No hate," she said.

Janno is formerly part of GMA-7's defunct Sunday noontime show "Party Pilinas," which was replaced by "Sunday PinaSaya" earlier this year.
