Alden, Aicelle and Ai-Ai celebrate #Sampuso in Japan

MANILA, Philippines - GMA Pinoy TV’s 10th anniversary celebration keeps getting bigger and better with Kapusong Pinoy Japan headlined by Alden Richards, Aicelle Santos and Ai-Ai delas Alas today.

The concert, staged in partnership with WorldCom Japan Ltd., will be held at the New Pier Hall in Tokyo, Japan.

Kapusong Pinoy Japan is the fourth event in this year’s Kapusong Pinoy concert series.

Japan was among the first countries to have GMA’s flagship international channel, with its first broadcast aired over the carrier IPS, Inc. in 2005. GMA’s two other international channels, GMA Life TV and GMA News TV International, soon followed, making more GMA programs available to the Filipino community in Japan.

The festivities for the anniversary dubbed #Sampuso began in May with Kapusong Pinoy Vancouver and Anaheim, followed by the recently-concluded Kapusong Pinoy New York last Sept. 5.

With a number of lead roles under his belt, Alden has certainly proven himself as one of the network’s most sought-after leading men. Most recently, he has gained greater popularity with AlDub, this year’s most phenomenal onscreen pairing from Eat, Bulaga!’s KalyeSerye which is also seen on GMA Pinoy TV. His tandem with Maine Mendoza a.k.a. Yaya Dub has captured the attention of Kapuso fans across the globe.

“This will be my first time in Japan and I’m very excited because I’ve heard it’s a beautiful country. But more than that, I’m also excited to meet our fans there. The event is our way of saying thank you for their support,” shares the Sunday Pinasaya  co-host.

Gates open at 2 p.m. and the show proper begins at 3 p.m. It will be followed by a meet and greet for Platinum ticket holders.
