MTRCB summons ‘It’s Showtime’ over ‘Pastillas Girl’ segment
MANILA, Philippines - The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) will have a dialogue with “It’s Showtime” executives to discuss the “Nasaan Ka, Mr. Pastillas” segment of the ABS-CBN noontime variety show.
On Monday, the board posted on their Twitter account the copy of the letter sent to the show’s executives dated Oct. 1.

The letter said that the board was “impelled to invite your authorized representatives for the program ‘It’s Showtime’ to a dialogue with the Special Sub-Committee of our Gender And Development (GAD) Committee.”
This was after they received a complaint from party-list Gabriela and “some feedback from the general public” regarding the show’s segment.
The said segment features Angelica Yap, popularly known as Pastillas Girl, being paired with different guys, similar to on-air reality dating shows.

The dialogue will happen on October 13, Tuesday, 10 a.m. at the MTRCB conference room in Quezon City.
This is not the first time that the show has been summoned by MTRCB. In 2014, the board has called the attention of the show due to the “armpit humor” by Vice Ganda.
