Ayunan G. Gunting - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Jay Manalo (left) admitted being nervous when he sang in public for the first time at the Kamahardikaan Panglima Sugala in Tawi-Tawi, a festival of culture, food and entertainment. He was invited to do it by Jayson Fernandez (right), former lead singer of Rivermaya. They sang some of their favorite songs such as Ang Huling El Bimbo and Ulan.

The mammoth audience included former Tawi-Tawi Gov. Sadikul Sahali, tourism head Donya Juana Sahali, Princess Sahali, PNP maritime officer Jomz Leonardo Ermino.

On Sept. 20, the festival will include Miss Panglima Sugala, fun run, agri-fishing trade fair and different activities to be presented by the 11 municipalities in the province.
