Sexy Talk with Glaiza de Castro

She has more than proven herself in three mediums — film, recording and TV.

“I’m eager to explore new territories,” declared Glaiza de Castro, referring to Dreams Never End, her concert set for Oct. 3 (a Saturday), 8 p.m. at the Music Museum (directed by Rico Gutierrez and Marc Lopez as musical director, with special guests Jay-R, Aiza Seguerra, Rico Blanco and Regine Velasquez).

Glaiza has done two indies, Still Life and Astig (for which she was nominated by Gawad Urian and Enpress’ Golden Screen Awards). She released three albums: Magbalik Ka (2001, XAX Music Entertainment), the eponymous Glaiza (2006, Dyna Records) and, recently, Synthesis which she herself produced and which sold out after it went to the market last April.

On primetime TV, Glaiza has starred in Kapuso soaps Kaputol ng Isang Awit, Grazilda, Diva and The Rich Man’s Daughter in which she played Rhian Ramos’ lesbian lover.  

In her Dreams Never End concert, Glaiza promises to raise the bar by doing songs covering all genres…ballads, rock-acoustic and OPM favorites, and original songs (her own compositions) from her albums. She will bare her sexy side.

What is sexy to you?

“Being sexy is about embracing your imperfections and being confident about them. It’s also about being open to new possibilities to invent or reinvent yourself.”

When do you feel sexy?

“I feel sexy when I perform on stage. Like it washes all my fears and it takes me to a different world.”

How can you make a man feel sexy?

“By complimenting not just his looks but also for his effort. Appreciation is something that men really like, I think. And reciprocating that effort like catering to him ala Destiny’s Child. Hehehehe!”
