Melai Cantiveros to have solo concert

MANILA, Philippines – Melai Cantiveros announced that she is having a concert this September.

“Maski ako hindi makapaniwala, e,” she said about having a concert, in an interview on Thursday. “Ang motto ko po kasi sa buhay, don’t expect. So ngayon hindi ko po talaga in-expect kaya ngayon nagkaro’n na ako ng concert.”

Melai explained that the concert will not only feature her performing as a singer. "Comedy siya,” Melai explained.

Her concert “Melai Mo Mag-concert” will happen on September 18 at Teatrino in Greenhills, San Juan. Alora Sasam, Nyoy Volante and other personalities will appear as guests.

Melai owes this new venture to her win during the first season of “Your Face Sounds Familiar.” She even admitted that more projects and part-time shows came after she has showcased her "other talents" on the reality talent show. She will also be part of the show's second season as its co-host, along with Billy Crawford.

“Nabago ang aking financial,” she honestly said. “Grabe talaga ang pagkabongga ng raket. Grabe talaga ang mga raket.”

“Buhay na buhay, mabubuhay talaga ang anak mo!” she added, referring to her one-year-old daughter.

“Your Face Sounds Familiar” will start airing on September on ABS-CBN.
