Real Talk on CNN Philippines
MANILA, Philippines - This September, CNN Philippines brings three new offerings meant to delight, inspire and empower women — Real Talk, Leading Women and Stories: A Path Appears.
Under the CNN Philippines Lifestyle banner, Real Talk provides a space where women express their opinions and have their voices heard. Real Talk is hosted by comedienne-host-actress Giselle Sanchez, Olympic athlete-TV host Christine Jacob Sandejas and architect-beauty titleholder Shamcey Supsup. “We are three accomplished women from different fields with different personalities and backgrounds. We all have our different stories to tell and at times see and feel things differently. And yet we are united by respecting each other as individuals,” says Christine.
Not your typical “girl talk” show, Real Talk seeks to empower women by discussing important and timely concerns. Filipinas can voice out their opinions on relevant matters via social media, ask questions and also receive reliable and useful information.
Shamcey says that she is excited for the viewers to see a different kind of talk show. “We really try to elevate the conversation when it comes to women’s issues. We try to cover both ends of the spectrum when it comes to talking about topics concerning women — from common interests like fashion and beauty to more serious issues like feminism and women’s rights.”
According to Giselle, “The best part is you can get to see an issue on different perspectives. It’s like a buffet of ideas, and you can pick which one you agree with or if you have your own stake on the topic, you can interact with us via Facebook, Twitter and other forms of social media. Real Talk is interactive and we promise you it will never be boring.”
Join Giselle, Christine and Shamcey in Real Talk on weekdays at 4 p.m. starting Sept. 7.
