FAMAS awardees: 1952-1958
The April 8, 1959 issue of Kislap Graphic featured Rita Gomez and Pancho Magalona, 1958 FAMAS awardees, on its cover. Also featured were previous FAMAS winners (Best Actor and Best Actress), from 1952 to 1957.
Miss Rita won for Talipandas and Pancho for Hanggang sa Dulo ng Daigdig.

1952 — Alicia Vergel (Basahang Ginto), Ben Perez (Bagong Umaga)
1953 — Carmen Rosales (Inspirasyon), Jose Padilla Jr. (Huk sa Bagong Pamumuhay)
1954 — Gloria Romero (Dalagang Ilocana), Fred Montilla (Bondying)
1955 — Rosa Rosal (Sonny Boy), Rogelio de la Rosa (Higit sa Lahat)
1956 — Lolita Rodriguez (Gilda) and Eddie del Mar (Buhay at Pag-ibig ni Dr. Jose Rizal)
1957 — Paraluman (Sino ang Maysala?) and Van de Leon (Taga sa Bato)
Incidentally, the late Manny Fernandez wrote the Kislap Graphic cover story. Manny authored the biography of Carmen Rosales, Ang Tangi Kong Pag-ibig, which this columnist published in 2013.
