Mutya ‘most likely’
Three lucky ladies will be proclaimed winners in the 47th Mutya ng Pilipinas pageant tomorrow night, Aug. 2, at 7 o’clock (delayed telecast on ABS-CBN at 11 o’clock) at the New Port Performing Arts Theater of the Resorts World Manila.
Funfare’s “beauty experts” made their usual annual lists of “most likely” bets to make it to the semis and the finals. Eight candidates were included in the lists of both Celso de Guzman Caparas and Felix Manuel (with Joey Cezeare, Gery Yumping and Francis Calubaquib), shown in bigger pictures. The seven that made it to Celso’s Top 15 and four of Felix’s Top 12 are shown in smaller pictures. 11 all in all.
The eight are (at random): Angelyne Huxley Cabre (No. 1) of La Paz, Tarlac; Cristal Jane Lacida (No. 11) of Talisay, Cebu; Julie Ann Marie Bourgoin (No. 14) of Cagayan de Oro City; Shannon Rebecca Bridgman (No. 23) of Melbourne, Australia; Leren Mae Bautista (No. 26) of Laguna; Kerlyn Horn (No. 27) of Northern California; Brenna Cassandra Gamboa (No. 29) of Nueva Ecija; and Janela Joy Cuaton (No. 18) of Doha, Qatar.
