James & Michela as sweet as ever

Because of what James Yap posted on his Instagram, some people suspected that he and girlfriend Michela Cazzola were going through “something.” In Tagalog, the Visayan posting read: Kung ang pag-ibig ay umabot sa puntong nasasaktan na, bitawan mo na at ang sarili mo na lang ang i-save mo. Isipin mo na may makikita ka pang ibang iibigin. Pero di mo na makikita ang iyong sarili.

Asked what that meant, James texted Funfare that, well, it meant nothing, no reference to him and Michela.

“In general lang ‘yon,” said James.

The truth is that the sweethearts are as sweet as they have always been. Two weeks ago, they spent a vacation in Hong Kong with James’ family. Asked if, as some people also suspected, they got secretly married there, James said, “Hindi pa, wala pa. Darating pa lang ‘yon, hehehe!”

A week after they came home, James and Michela flew to Italy for their annual visit with Michela’s family. The photos on this page were sent to Funfare by James through his iPhone from an airport in Italy.

Pokwang 7 weeks pregnant

There must be no truth to the rumor that Pokwang and her American boyfriend Lee O’Brien are on the brink of splitting up. Somebody close to the couple said that the romance is going strong, especially now that Pokwang is seven weeks pregnant.

“It’s a very, very delicate pregnancy,” according to the Funfare DPA, “because of Pokwang’s age, 42 (on Aug. 27). She was advised by her OB-Gyne to take a complete bed rest. Pokwang daw is experiencing frequent spotting.”

Pokwang and Lee were together in Edsa Woolworth in which Pokwang played the title role as an OFW. She and Lee got to know each other closer and fell in love. He came to visit Pokwang as her house guest until next month.

Congratulations to Pokwang. She deserves a second chance at happiness with the man of her dreams.

Alma for senator

Now on her last term as Councilor of Parañaque City, Alma Moreno confirmed to Funfare that she’s running for senator in the 2016 elections. During her three terms, Alma has been holding a top post in the Philippine Councilors League (now as National Chairman) which has more than 17,000 members.
