Yeng Constantino enjoying married life
MANILA, Philippines — Yeng Constantino is a picture of a happy wife, a month since getting married to Victor Asuncion.
"Sobrang fun siya!" she replied, with a big smile, when asked in an interview during a Line event on how married life is treating her,
She believes her friendship with Victor, whom she calls "Yan," before their romantic relationship helped a lot.
"Kasi maganda sa amin ni Yan, friends kami," she said. "So parang gano'n lang kung ano 'yong dating kami. Ang kaibahan lang ngayon hindi na kami bitin, parang sa mag-girlfriend-boyfriend na at the end of the day maghihiwalay pa kami. Pero ngayon uwi kami ng bahay, magkasama kami sa house, 'pagkagising mo sa umaga siya agad makikita mo."
There's no major adjustment yet for Yeng now that they're living under the same roof. Yet she didn't deny being surprised about discovering more things she is able to do, such as doing household chores she has not done before.
"Na-surprise ako sa sarili ko na ngayong kasal na kami, nagkaro'n ng switch 'yong heart ko," she said. "[Now] I want to learn how to cook, pati 'yong timpla ng kape na gusto niya gusto ko mahanap. Never ko na-imagine sa sarili ko na magiging gano'n ako, and it's worth it na gawin for someone na mahal mo."
Yeng is thankful that her husband accepted her despite her imperfections as a woman, and in return she doesn't expect him to be perfect even before their marriage.
" 'Yong expectation ko parang tinapon ko na out of the window for the sake of love," she said.
Yeng is currently working on a new song which was inspired by her travels and adventures with Victor.
She's also cooking up a special project to show gratitude to her fans who supported her and her decisions in life.
