Things viewers rave about 'The Voice Season 8'
MANILA, Philippines- Eight seasons have passed and “The Voice” hasn't failed on giving its viewers something to love and look forward to.
The new talents like Javier Colon, the first “The Voice U.S.” winner, Cassadee Pope, and Craig Wayne Boyd are just some of the stars the show has produced so far.
Now that they're on the eighth season, here are some of the things that viewers are loving
V- Vocal mentors
As if the show's coaches – Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton, and Pharell Williams – aren't intimidating enough, they tapped four more artists to mentor the aspiring singers.
Lionel Richie is back as a mentor, this time for Team Pharrell; Ellie Goulding, who is fresh from the success of her “Fifty Shades of Grey” theme song “Love Me Like You Do,” will mentor Team Adam; “Jealous” singer-songwriter Nick Jonas will be with Team Christina; and “All About the Bass” singer Meghan Trainer will be mentoring Team Blake.
O- One time steal
During the Blind Auditions, coaches either make a mistake of not turning their seat or one isn't lucky to be chosen by the contestant. However, they get the chance to “steal” that potential big hit singer during the Knockout Rounds.
During that part of the competition, a coach has to choose who among their artists will move forward to the Play Off Rounds. The artist not chosen by their coach could be stolen by a different coach and be given another chance to make it to the Play Off Rounds or even to the Live Shows.
I- Instant save
If coaches were given the chance to steal an eliminated contestant, the viewers are given the power to save one through “Instant Save.”
This applies during the final live-performance of the 12 artists, where the viewers get the chance to vote for their favorite. The three artists who gets the lowest number of votes are eligible for “Instant Save,” where they'll perform again and the viewers get to save them by tweeting #VoiceSave with the name of the artist they want to save. Two contestants with the lowest number of votes are sent home.
C- Christina Aguilera is back!
After missing seasons six and seven, Christina Aguilera is back and ready to kick start a newbie's singing career.
Christina has been away after she gave birth to daughter Summer Rain, and is working on her album together with Pharrell Williams.
E- End of delays
Don't you just hate it when the Twitter world is already abuzz about the latest episode of “The Voice,” and you're there at home waiting for the telecast here in Manila?
Well that won't happen anymore since they will have a same day telecast as the U.S., which airs every Tuesday and Wednesday, 7:50 p.m. on AXN.
