Valencia lecture series ends

MANILA, Philippines - Students and teachers of Journalism and Mass Communication and media practitioners will complete the eight-week 28th Teodoro F. Valencia lecture series on Journalism and Mass Communication on March 20 in simple ceremonies at the T. F. Valencia Media Study Center, T. M. Kalaw St. Rizal Park.

The lecture series is under the auspices of the Teodoro F. Valencia Foundation, Inc. and sponsored by the RCBC. Meralco, Smart Communication, Inc., Landbank of the Philippines, Social Security System, Manila City Mayor Joseph Estrada, San Miguel Corp., GMA 7, Security Bank, Eastwest Bank, Metrobank Foundation, Inc., Philtrusts Bank, Balce-Angeles Consultancy Services, Megaworld Corp., Ayala land, Inc. and Dindo Fernando.

To contribute a song to the event is singer-songwriter Henry Samaniego to perform his original song Graduation and Txm8 taken from his Super Miss Kita album. Also the moderator of the program Juvy de Guzman will also perform with her son MJ de Guzman.

The Teodoro F. Valencia lecture series on Journalism and Mass Communication started last Jan. 30. Classes start from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. and will end on March 20. And the last talk is on News Responsibility of the Pillars of the Media Industry with  Nathaniel Barretto, provincial editor of Manila Bulletin as speaker. Graduation follows thereafter.

The awarding of certificates will be led by lawyer Dennis R.V. Eala and Jay-jay Ferro.
