MANILA, Philippines - He won the battle but lost the war.
YouTube sensation Jam Sebastian, 28, died of lung cancer yesterday at 10:30 a.m.
He was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer in March last year after a CT scan was made at St. Luke’s Medical Center. From then on, Jam underwent chemotherapy. Family members like mother Maricar, brother Yexel, partner Michelle Liggayu (the other half of the loveteam Jamich with Jam in photos taken from the couple’s Instagram), and friends never left him during this battle. Last month, Jam was put on life support.
Netizens and showbiz watchers will remember Jam through the videos like By Chance, the first Jamich’s uploaded video which gained legions of subscribers and received millions of views. He and Michelle had made several videos in the past two years, with love and relationships as common themes. — Jerry Donato
