Kris Aquino: No politics for 2016
MANILA, Philippines - Kris Aquino slammed reports that she plans to enter politics in 2016, the last year for the presidential term of her brother Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III.
Nora Aunor asked Kris on Sunday if the reports are true that she plans to run for a political position on 2016, to which she replied, “you all know what my priority is 'yong mga anak ko,” referring to her sons Josh and Bimby.
In May last year, Kris already denied reports that she'll run as vice president in 2016.
She also added having to take care of her brother President Aquino.
“Kapag natapos ito, bata pa siya, 56. Siyempre di ba I’m sure, let’s be honest, ang daming kaso na mangyayari sa 2016. Alam natin iyan. So kailangan niya ako, andoon ako. Family first,” she said.
The "Queen of All Media" also wanted to focus on creating jobs for Filipinos as she eyes to open three more branches of a fastfood chain.
“Politika requires someone who has no other responsibility but the responsibility to serve the constituents. I want to be the best mom I can be, and I cannot be the best mom that I can be if hahatiin [ang focus] ko,” she ended.
