A tribute to Plm achievers

MANILA, Philippines - In celebration of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila’s (PLM) 50th anniversary, a kick-off concert in honor of PLM achievers will be held at the PLM grounds in Intramuros, Manila today, 4:30 to 8 p.m., with the special participation of Manila City Mayor Joseph “Erap” Estrada, Vice Mayor Francisco “Isko” Moreno and city councilors, members of the PLM Board of Regents, headed by its chairman, Dr. Benjamin Diokno, and PLM executives led by president Dr. Lenny Vasquez de Jesus.

As part of PLM’s musical show, the Russelution band performs during the special event. After William Russell launched his first CD of 12 original works in 2013, the Russelution band regrouped in 2014 with frontman/composer William, Lenny, Jun Raymundo, Nap Apolinario and Fred Bello.

Other performers include the Reo Brothers band, tenor Dondi Ong and Darius Razon. There are surprise numbers by Manila City officials and PLM executives.

The concert is open to the public, free of charge.
