Gabby Concepcion hands-off on daughter KC’s love life

MANILA, Philippines - Gabby Concepcion doesn’t want to meddle with the love life of his eldest daughter KC Concepcion, who is being linked to actor Paulo Avelino.

“Hindi na namin pinag-uusapan ‘yong love life,” he replied when asked about his daughter’s love life. “Noong araw pinag-uusapan namin, ngayon hindi na. Kasi siguro sa dami nang nangyayari…so maski siya hindi na niya ino-open up. But of course mayro’n akong idea.”

Gabby hasn’t met Avelino yet and doesn’t know if he’s officially the boyfriend of his daughter. What’s important for him is that “mahal niya [si KC], nagmamahalan sila and they will take care of each other.”

Meanwhile, Gabby admits seeing the sweet moments of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla off cam while they were shooting the film “Crazy Beautiful Love.”

There are times when he and Daniel would talk about some personal stuff, and he will be there to give some advice or reminders. Yet the most important advice he gives to the KathNiel love team is that “go with your age, be your age. Don’t act older. Natural lang, time will make the way for you.”

Joining them in the film are Lorna Tolentino and Iñigo Pascual. The movie is directed by Mae Cruz-Alviar and will be in cinemas starting February 25.
