Nadine Lustre: James Reid a very close friend

MANILA, Philippines — Nadine Lustre said James Reid is a "very close friend," despite the rumors they are dating.

They were last seen together at the concert of 1975, which according to James "is just a friendly date" since they were with their fellow Viva artists.

"We're really close, actually now he's my closest friend. We're a team, we're always together. So really very close friends," Nadine replied when asked about the real score between them, in an interview on Friday.

She added that the public might be seeing them often because they're almost always together in every project, and they have mutual friends in the industry.

The two was first paired in the film "Diary ng Panget," which was followed by another movie "Talk Back and You're Dead."

They will also soon star in their first teleserye with ABS-CBN, "On the Wings of Love."

"With everything that's happening until now parang hindi pa ako [makapaniwala]," said Nadine, with a big smile on her face.

"Hindi pa nagsi sink in sa akin ang lahat ng nagyayari but then I'm just really thankful kasi ang bilis ng nangyari," she added.

Nadine admitted she feels the pressure of expectations since the project is their first major team up on TV after "My App Boyfie" episode for "Wansapanataym."

"May pressure, pero more of excitement, mas nananaig 'yong excitement kesa sa pressure," she admitted. "But then it's good to feel pressured, feeling mo mas macha-challenge mo ang sarili mo to do better."

Joining the JaDine love team in the series are Joel Torre, Cherry Pie Picache, Arjo Atayde, Bianca Manalo, Nanette Medved and Nico Antonio. It'll air this 2015 in ABS-CBN.
